SOP for Cleaning and Operation of Vacuum scrubber

1.0 Purpose: To describe the procedure for cleaning and operation of vacuum scrubber.
2.0 Aim: This Standard Operating Procedure is applicable to the cleaning and operation of vacuum scrubber present at the Production facility.

3.0 Responsibility:
3.1 Officer / Sr. Officer & line coordinator shall execute this SOP.
3.2 Head production to ensure implement this SOP.
3.3 Head-QA shall be responsible for ensuring the compliance of this SOP.
4.0 Safety considerations:
4.1 “HANDLE WITH CARE” avoids shocks and jerks.
4.2 Check the water level before & during operation.
4.3 Switch off during maintenance work.
5.0 Equipment:
5.1 Vacuum scrubber.
6.0 Procedure:
6.1 Cleaning procedure:
6.1.1 Switch “OFF” the vacuum scrubber and disconnect the main power supply.
6.1.2 Remove the drain hose to drain the dirty water.
6.1.3 Flush the scrubber bucket with purified water.
6.1.4 Clean the outer surfaces with a mope.

6.2 Startup Procudure :
6.2.1 Connect the power supply.
6.2.2 Open the water tank & fill it with water.
6.2.3 Add the required amount of disinfectant/detergent as per schedule.
6.2.4 Keep the scrubber pad under the platform.
6.2.5 Push the foot paddle towards the left.
6.2.6 Switch on the scrubber key.
6.2.7 Press the handle lever for a few seconds for adjusting the scrubber pad.
6.2.8 Move down the vacuum dryer lever.
6.2.9 Switch on the vacuum key.
6.2.10 Move the water lever up to adjust the quantity.
6.2.11 Push the handle lever & hold it for scrubbing.
6.3 Shutdown Procedure:
6.2.1 Move the water lever to the down position.
6.2.2 Switch off the vacuum key.
6.2.3 Move up the vacuum dryer lever.
6.2.4 Move the foot paddle toward the right position.
6.2.5 Press the hand lever for a few seconds.
6.2.6 Remove the scrubber pad.
6.2.7 Switch off the scrubber key.
6.2.8 Remove the power supply.
