1.0 Objective: To lay down a procedure for change of the aluminum foil during packing.
2.0 Scope: This standard operating procedure is applicable to the change of aluminum foil during packing in the production department.
3.0 Responsibility: Officer, and Executive – Production Department for implementation of this procedure.
Manager – Production Department for overall compliance with this procedure.
4.0 Procedure:
4.1 Transfer the entire primary packing material at the start of the batch to the Packing cubicle.
4.2 Attach the signed initial specimen/proof of the foil along with the stereo impression in the BPR. In case of embossed blisters, details are to be attached instead of the aluminum foil.
4.3 Check the alu. foil for its correctness at each change of roll and perform a leak test for each roll.
4.4 Attach the signed specimen of all aluminum foil with BPR.
4.5 Attach a signed specimen of the aluminum foil to the BPR whenever a joint is observed.
4.6 Ensure that the specimen copy should include both ends of the aluminum foil attached in case of the joint.
4.7 At the same time enter the details of each foil changes in BPR with AR. No. and Net weight.
