1.0 Objective: To lay down a procedure for Cleaning utensils, SS accessories, and machine change parts.
2.0 Scope: This procedure is applicable to cleaning utensils, SS accessories, and machine change parts in the Liquid orals department.

4.0 Procedure:
4.1 Cleaning Procedure of SS Accessories after every use
4.1.1 Transfer the utensils/containers/accessories to be washed to the respective washing area.
4.1.2 Clean the utensils/containers/accessories with a sufficient quantity of purified water to remove any particles/residue or any traces.
4.1.3 In case of sticky material, clean the surface of utensils/containers/accessories with a nylon brush
4.1.4 Dry the equipment by using a fresh laundered lint-free cloth.
4.1.5 Put ‘CLEANED’ status label having written Unit, Department, Equipment name, Cleaned by, Checked by Production Officer, Date, and finally certified by Quality Assurance.
4.2 Cleaning Procedure of machine change parts after use
4.2.1 Remove the change parts from the Bottle washing machine and Bottle filling and ROPP cap sealing machine.
4.2.2 Transfer the machine change parts to the respective washing area.
4.2.3 Wash the change parts with purified water and by rubbing with a lint-free cloth to remove residue from the previous product.
4.2.4 In case of sticky material, clean the surface of change parts with a nylon brush.
4.2.5 Dip the piston and its parts in hot water at a temperature of 55-60 °C for 30 minutes.
4.2.6 Finally wash change parts twice with purified water.
4.2.7 Dry the changed parts completely with a clean dry lint-free cloth.
4.2.8 Apply food-grade grease on the piston’s outer surface for protection.
4.2.9 Place the dried change parts in a polybag and store them as per the “Procedure for the Storage of Change Parts” SOP.
