1.0 Objective: To lay down a procedure for cleaning and utilization of FBD Finger Bag and filter bag in the production department.
2.0 Scope: The procedure is applicable to the cleaning and utilization issuance of FBD Finger Bags in the Production department.
3.0 Responsibility:

4.0 Procedure:
4.1 Take FBD finger bags and filter bags to the washing area.
4.2 Turn the fingers of the FBD finger bag inside out and soak in 100 liters of purified water in a S.S. container for 25-30 minutes. Turn the fingers of the FBD filter bag inside out and soak in 10 liters of purified water in a SS container for 25-30 minutes.
4.3 Scrub each and individual finger of the filter bag with a nylon scrubber so as to remove any adhered material.
4.4 Soak the bag twice in 100 liters of Purified Water for 10 min.
4.5 Finally, rinse with 10 liters of Purified Water.
4.6 Transfer the filter bag to the FBD bowl and dry at 70-80°C for 30-40 minutes.
4.7 If the filter bag is not used within a month, then reclean the finger bag before use as per the procedure mentioned in step no. 4.1 to 4.7.
4.8 Transfer the filter bag to the FBD bowl and dry at 70-80°C for 30-40 minutes
4.9 In case of any damage reported in the filter bag inform the department head. Inform engineering through IOM for scraping the damaged bag.
4.10 Record the observations in annexure-I for the FBD finger bag and annexure-II for the RMG filter bag.
