1.0 Objective: To lay down the procedure for Sanitizing Solution Preparation in the manufacturing area.
2.0 Scope: This standard operating procedure applies for Sanitizing Solution Preparation in the production area.
3.0 Responsibility: Housekeeping personnel, Officer, Executive – To follow this procedure
Manager – To execution this procedure
4.0 Procedure:
4.1 Safety Precautions
4.1.1 Use proper safety apparel such as gowns, rubber hand gloves, and safety goggles during preparation and use.
4.1.2 Add a disinfectant to the water while diluting.
4.2 Preparation of Disinfectant Solutions
4.2.1 Prepare Quantities of Disinfectant solutions sufficient for one-day cleaning and disinfection.
- Solution: 2.5 % Dettol (For 1 Liter)
Take 25 ml of Dettol and make up to 1000 ml with Purified water. Mix well and use within a day.
- Solution: 0.1% Teepol (For 10 Liters)
Take 10 ml of teepol and make up to 10 liters with purified water. Mix well and use within a day.
- Solution: 2.5% Savlon (For 1 Liter)
Take 25 ml of Savlon and make up to 1000 ml of purified water. Mix well and use within a day.
- Solution: 70% w/w IPA
Take 0.70 kg of IPA and make up to 1.00 kg of purified water and use it within a week.
4.2.2 Maintain record in ‘Cleaning and Sanitization Solution Preparation Register’ as per Annexure –I.
