4.0 Responsibility:
4.1 Officer production is responsible for verification.
4.2 The concerned officer department is responsible for monthly calibration.
4.3 Head production and Head quality assurance are responsible for ensuring overall compliance with this SOP.

5.0 Precaution:

5.1 Use the trolley balance for material weighing within its verification range only.
5.2 Ensure that the standard weights used for verification and calibration are within the range and the due date of certification.
5.3 Clean the weighing box and standard weight with a dry lint-free duster before verification and calibration.
5.4 Ensure that during weighing, verification, or calibration, no object touches the arm of the balance trolley.
5.5 Consider the certified value of the calibrated standard weight for the calculation of the tolerance limit.

6.1.9 Ensure that the conta-bin is placed within the marks over the arms.
6.1.10 Ensure that the conta-bin is balanced properly over the arm of the bin lifting trolley.
6.1.11 Finally, lift the conta-bin at the peak position of the bin lifting trolley.
6.1.12 Record the weight displayed on the electronic weighing balance.
6.1.13 Bring down the conta-bin by releasing the lever.
6.1.14 Press the OFF key on the electronics display.
6.1.15 switch the power supply OFF.

7.8 Press the ON key on the electronic display.

7.9 Wait till the self-check is over.
7.10 Check for zero errors and correct if any by pressing the ZERO key.
7.11 Lift the SS pallet over the arm of the bin by lifting the trolly slightly.
7.12 Ensure that the SS pallet is placed within the marks over the arms.
7.13 Ensure that the SS pallet is balanced properly over the arm of the bin lifting trolley.
7.14 Finally, lift the SS pallet at the peak position of the bin lifting trolley.
7.15 Press the REZERO key.
7.16 Put the standard weight on the SS Pallet.
7.17 Perform the weekly verification with the minimum (10% of the balance capacity) intermediate (50% of balance capacity) and maximum (90% of balance capacity) weight of balance capacity as per “verification record for trolley balance.”
