SOP on Cleaning of Shipper Sealing machine

1.0 Objective: To lay down a procedure for cleaning of shipper sealing machine.
2.0 Scope: This procedure is applicable to the cleaning of the shipper sealing machine in the production area.
3.0 Responsibility: Officer, Executive – Production Department
Manager – Production Department

4.0 Procedure:

4.1 TYPE A:
Change over from one batch to the next batch of the same product and potency and of similar products with ascending potency.
4.1.1 Remove the “ TO BE CLEANED “ label and affix the “ UNDER CLEANING “ label on
the machine.
4.1.2 Ensure that the shipper sealing machine is switched OFF.
4.1.3 Dry clean the shipper sealing machine body, conveyor belt, and utility cables using a dry lint-free duster.
4.1.6 Replace ‘UNDER CLEANING’ status label with the ‘CLEANED’ status label.
4.1.7 Record the cleaning activity in the equipment usage log sheet as per the “Making entry in Equipment Logbook” SOP.

4.2 TYPE B:
This is a cleaning procedure for Change over of product with different actives/color / descending potency or after the maintenance of contact parts.
4.2.1 Follow the procedure from steps 4.1.1 to 4.1.2.
4.2.2 Dismantle the part of the shipper sealing machine.
4.2.3 Clean the dismantled parts using a dry lint-free duster.
4.2.4 Dry clean the shipper sealing machine body, conveyor belt, and utility cables using a dry lint-free duster.
4.2.5 Fix the dismantled parts to the shipper sealing machine.
4.2.6 Replace the ‘UNDER CLEANING’ status label with “CLEANED’ label.
